Portland's Craft Brew Alliance, the country's 12th largest brewer, has been completely bought out by Anheuser-Busch for $220 million. Anheuser-Busch had previously owned around a third of the alliance. Anheuser had previously turned down the option to buy the CBA back in August for $475 million. The CBA had suffered greatly as newer craft brew companies came into the market. The purchase means that Anheuser now owns Hawaii's Kona, which at around 450,000 barrels produced last year, made up the majority of CBA's production. Do you drink microbrews/craft beer? Would you be bummed if a big corporation bought that company out?
