Read The Geek Freak of the Week, Wash Your Hands. Repeat & Wash Your Hands.

Another week has passed and with all this coronavirus stuff in the news, it looks like we are all going to turn into Filburt from Rocko's Modern Life.

Why isn't this clip being used more?! Have we forgotten the awesomeness of this show already?! Okay, calm down Maz.

In this weeks issue we take a look at what's next for the DC Animated Movie Universe, a look at Batmans new ride (it's pretty freaking awesome) and James Bond can save the world from terrorists and rogue agents but it seems he has finally been defeated by the coronavirus. All that and more in this weeks Geek Freak of the Week!

The Justice League Goes Dark

The Avengers have assembled over at Marvel but now it's time for the Justice League to unite. No, not the live action group. That is pretty much never going to happen again. Justice League Dark: Apokolips War is the next chapter in movies for the DC Animated Movie Universe.

First off, there are two Justice League teams in the mix for this one. Yeah, I know, confusing. On one end are the regular League members of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, along with Cyborg, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and more. The other team is called Justice League Dark. Those members consist of John Constantine, Zantana, Swamp Thing, plus Deadman, Black Orchid, and Etrigan the Demon. They had their own animated movie back in the 2017. This movie serves as a semi-sequel and a continuation of the events that have happened for the regular Leaguers in the DCAMU.

However, this movie has more to offer. Along with Justice League and the Justice League Dark members, there are more teaming up in this one. members of Teen Titans, a few members from the Suicide Squad, and even Lex Luthor himself will be joining the ranks for an all-out-assault on Darkseid on his home world Apokolips. However, do things go okay? In the sneak peak that was attached to Superman: Red Son it doesn't look that way. You can watch clip that here

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War will be released on digital May 5 and on Blu-ray May 19 of this year.

Check Out These New Wheels

You can't have a new Batman movie without a Batmobile!

On Wednesday, The Batman Director Matt Reeves released photos of the next set of wheels that the Dark Knight will be driving. Slightly different from the Dark Knight Trilogy and the Bat-fleck films. In those films the Dark Knight drove cars that were tanks and ready for battle/any situation. In this, it looks like they are going back to basics and having the batmobile show off it's muscle car origins rather than it's tech. This batmobile in a way reminds me of an episode from the Batman Animated Series.

Maybe we will be getting an Easter egg moment in the film to that scene? That episode does involve the Penguin after all.

The Batman comes out June 25, 2021

Bond...Wait Bond

The Coronavirus ruins everything! Originally due to arrive in theaters this April, Sony has decided to move the next James Bond, No Time To Die, to a November 25th release date. Because of the virus' spread it seems it will hurt oversee gross numbers if the film is released next month.

A movie like James Bond needs to be released within a few weeks of each other around the globe and not months due to pirating concerns.

Thanks coronavirus....

Going Back To The Chocolate Factory

Here are a few steps to make it in Hollywood:

  1. Write/create a parody with vampires (What We Do In The Shadows)
  2. Direct a Marvel film (Thor: Ragnarok & the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder)
  3. Write/direct a movie making fun of Hitler and the Nazi's. (Jojo Rabbit)
  4. Win an Oscar for screenwriting (JoJo Rabbit)

Taika Waititi makes it look easy! On top of all the other projects he has on his plate, Netflix and the New Zealand native have signed a deal for projects involving an animated Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and given the task to create a series showing the origin of the Oompa Loompas. If anyone can come up with a fun and interesting origin for them, it's Taika.

Right now, not much else is known. Stay tuned!
