George RR Martin: "Imprison Me' in Cabin If Next Book Isn't Done By 2020

Game of Thrones author George RR Martin has been pretty active on his blog after the conclusion of HBO's Game of Thrones, this time praising the beauty of New Zealand where JR Tolkien wrote his famous Lord of the Rings novels and the surrounding lore. He will be attending WorldCon there in 2020 and he has some serious goals for that year.

"As for finishing my book… I fear that New Zealand would distract me entirely too much. Best leave me here in Westeros for the nonce. But I tell you this — if I don’t have THE WINDS OF WINTER in hand when I arrive in New Zealand for worldcon, you have here my formal written permission to imprison me in a small cabin on White Island, overlooking that lake of sulfuric acid, until I’m done. Just so long as the acrid fumes do not screw up my old DOS word processor, I’ll be fine."

Let see if he can pull it off, but he's sort of threatening himself with a vacation which I though was hilarious!
