Judas Priest will be given the Musical Excellence Award the same one that the late Randy Rhoads was given last year which the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame says is the same as getting inducted. The Rock Hall doesn't want to further upset the people who still think this Hall of Fame is actually for rockers, it is not. So to appease us rockers and still keep the name somewhat true they give out 'special' awards to bands that should have actually been on the inductee list. They don't need the votes to get on the list if the Rock Hall designates this special award. I'm positive that Iron Maiden will be the next recipient of this special award next year. I'm happy for Judas Priest because I know it means a lot to them based on their comments. I just hate how the Rock Hall uses the name Rock to dupe us all into believing they actually support the genre. Congratulations to Judas Priest! They've earned their rightful place in history of heavy metal and will forever be remembered for that.
