It's been a glorious foliage season so far, and here's some of the photo's I've taken recently while wandering some of New England's roads...
Jackson NH. I almost drive right past this barn - until I noticed how the light was hitting the leaves over the top of it. Beautiful spot right in town most people never even notice...
Fall of Song. Castle in the Clouds, Moultonborough NH. This was just before the leaves changed in Moutltonborough. It was an early morning hike up to it, but it was well worth the early start time to be there alone and have the place all to myself.
After The Harvest. Peacham VT. Is there a more beautiful town/area than Peacham and Danville VT? I think you'd be hard pressed to find one. Simply a gorgeous place....
I took a trip to mid coast Maine recently, and here's a shot of Mackeral Cove on Bailey's Island Maine. There's a bright light that shines on the harbor, but I hid it behind this tree so it didn't overexpose the rest of the image. As luck would have it - the milky way was clearly visible to the naked eye on this night. This is a single image - there is no overlaying or added effects. It's a timed exposure, and the longer you leave the shutter open - the more detail it picks up. It was a great place to shoot..
Willey Pond, Crawford Notch NH. The clouds crawled over Crawford Mountain like fingers slowly crawling down to Willey Pond. They never made it that far, as they dissipated before they got to it, but it was really cool to watch....
