My Weekend: Tubs, Pubs, Parties, Scal, Moose & My Biggest Drinking Weekend!

I could sleep right now, as I type this. I s*** you not. haha...

It was a pretty busy weekend, but a fun one!

On Saturday, Laura and I were out at Great Bay Spa and Saunas of Portsmouth for the big BUZZ TUB Giveaway (and their GRAND OPENING!). We had fun with all of the finalists - but in the end - Sam Cheney was the last lucky winner of the gorgeous Sundance "Mckinley" Hot Tub! Congrats Sam!

After the giveaway -I headed to Dover to see if I could catch up with Roadkill and Kayla in their pub crawl - "Oct-Doverfest".

And they weren't too hard to find- haha...

Oh, and this last one is John and Becky from South Berwick - not only were they BUZZ TUB finalists, but I found them in the same place I found Kayla! Wicked nice folks!

And yeah, Im drinkin - haha...

About 10p, I got the text from our son Tyler- who invited me over to his place where some friends were hanging out. And I will say this- when the kids call you and invite you over for a party - YOU GO! haha - It was a houseful and it was definitely fun - haha- but here's Cait and Tyler along with my nephew Hunter, and Emily and Morgan.

And yeah, that's my beer. haha..

Im a friggin ANIMAL, bruh....

Sunday morning I was scheduled to host the Seacoast Cancer 5k Run/Walk with our friends at Wentworth Douglass Hospital, and our buddy Brian Scalabrine! I mean, how do you say "no" to that, right?

And since that started at about 7:30a (for me, anyway) I figured why not get up and go shoot the sunrise and see what you can see before work? So that's what I did -

And here's what the moments before sunrise looked like in New Castle NH....

And before that, I shot from Badgers Island in Kittery ME, looking back into NH at Portsmouth. The lights of the bridge were in fine form, and I had some pretty nice light to work with....

It was a really pretty scene....

And then - off to the Seacoast 5K Cancer Walk!

After the walk I headed to Northwoods Brewery for their Fall Fest - which was really cool. It was a bunch of artisans, booths and exhibits and demonstrations, along with music, food and beer! What's not to like?

One of the most incredible things - is this display called "Forever Locked". It's a display of two real bull moose, who's horns got locked together when they were sparring - and the ended up dying that way. It happened in NH - and the man who found them contacted the state, and a taxidermist decided to take them and recreate their final fight for a display. Can you believe that? And check this- they NEVER unlocked their horns- so they stayed like this while he did his work. It's a tribute to animals in nature- and while it's sad - it's the cycle of life in the wild. Its an incredible display - and what are see are the real moose it happened to! THEY'RE HUGE!

This photo does NOT do the display justice. Look for more info in another post on my page. It was pretty cool - so nice work to our friends at Northwoods Brewing Company for a cool event.

And oh yeah - I had ANOTHER beer!!! WHOO HOOOO!

And we got home in time to watch the 2nd half of the Pats game. Which.......well, I'd rather not talk about at this moment. It's too fresh...

So - here I am - friggin BEAT. So Im tapping out - and headed to bed.

See you in the morning -
