First, an apology. I have to apologize for being a bit lax in posting here. It's been a very busy month, and with all the video stuff and LHC things, I've been trying to keep up, but haven't been doing a good job at it! :) I promise to try to do better! So this, Catherine - is for you.
Friday night started the our Brew Crew - our friends Gary and Lorraine, along with Tyler and Morgan and we landed at Cinco's Cantina!
I swear, sometimes I don't even recognize myself anymore! Hahah- but the Friday night brew tour (which makes stops in restaurants sometimes) must go on!
Saturday morning I headed out early to catch a sunrise up at Ogunquit, and it turned out to be a gorgeous one!
Then it was off to check out a bald eagle spot I check on - and I got to watch something pretty cool! I got to watch a red winged blackbird absolutely dogging this immature baldie. They call it "mobbing" - when a smaller bird attacks a bald eagle over its territory. The blackbird flew up and all around the eagle- while it flew- and then LANDED ON IT! They land on it to piss it off, peck at it and pull feathers off it - WHILE IN FLIGHT!
This pic is a composite of a few of the shots -
Then it gets close and gets ready-
And then it actually lands- only for a few seconds, but it did stick the landing!
Pretty cool to watch. Also looked in on a marine life sanctuary too -and caught a pair of herons-
Sunday morning I wanted to get out again before the rain, but almost all of the photo apps said the morning would suck for photos.
But they were wrong. What a morning!
What an incredible show at Nubble Light! It only lasted 20 minutes, and the sun never even showed itself- but it was the best 20 min of the day, weather-wise.
After that I zipped over to Berwick ME to have breakfast with my Dad at one of our favorite spots-
And Sunday was a pretty chill day at home doing home stuff-
But that was my weekend!
I'll be back again next week - (i hope! hahah)
