The Harvest Moon and Other Recent Photos

Last night was the second night of what they call "The Harvest Moon". As I've been told, that's the moon that occurs near the start of fall that is so full and so bright- farmers could pick their crops at night because of it. Anyway, once I saw the skies would be clear, I shot out to New Castle NH to shoot the moonrise (7:04pm) over the ocean. I shot this from the New Castle Commons, a really beautiful park right next to two lighthouses and the mouth of the Piscataqua River. If you've never been there, you should visit.

So here's one I got of the the moon rising over the Wood Island Life Saving Station....

It was a gorgeous end of summer/start of fall night-

Here's a couple more recent photos...

Shot these waterfalls down below Glenn Ellis Falls up in the Whites. Beautiful spot with lots of great falls (off the trail, however).

And this one was taken two weeks ago - a sunrise at what has to be one of the highest spots along the Kancamagus Highway. I think it's technically in Bartlett, but it overlooks Livermore NH. I shot it right in one of the pullover spots (The CL Mangam Overlook). Gorgeous spot for sunrises -
