Hundreds Lose License For Drunk E-Scooter Riding At Oktoberfest Celebration

Just because you're not behind the wheel of a car, doesn't mean that drunk driving laws don't still apply. It's a lesson many Oktoberfest celebrants just learned. According to CNN, 414 Germans and tourists were busted taking a ride on e-scooters after partying a little too hard at this year's event, leading 254 people to lose their licenses. The country legalized the mode of transportation back in June, classifying them as motorized vehicles. It's probably a good idea to apply the drunk driving laws too. Figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that one in three (likely sober) riders are hurt on their first e-scooter trip. Have you tried e-scooters yet? What did you think of the ride?
