We headed out early on Friday morning to hop on a barge from Woods Hole to the Vineyard. I was so impressed with the truck drivers that could pull these big rigs on to the barge in the tightest spots! We got to Martha's Vineyard Family Campground unpacked the camper and headed over to the festival for day one! It was a great day of music and the night closed out with the Avett Brother's who I love! After that we had a mile and 1/2 walk back to the camper and the lightening started, thunder got louder and the rain came! The rain got so heavy! It was such a wet night but after drying off, Jeff and I headed over to The Loft in Oak Bluffs for an after show with Ripe. If you haven't heard of them, please check them out, they are incredible! The rain was too much for the venue to handle on Saturday so they had to start later in the day and cancel some bands. The day started later, but it started with Lettuce to I was ready to dance! So many great acts including Beck! We have seen him before but his set Saturday night was perfect! Sunday was another day of great music! Caamp, Neighbor, Brett Dennen, Wilco! Monday was pack up and get back on a barge to head home. It was an amazing weekend with great friends, awesome music and time away from the kids! I can't believe I left them from Thursday to Monday! They said they didn't miss me too much haha!
