IDEAS FOR COOKING –

CABBAGE CASSEROLE – Prepare rice, white or brown according to package and set aside. Cook chopped onion in olive oil until soft and then add some minced garlic for a minute and then add in ground beef and cook through wil chopping up and then stir in tomato paste and then add in some beef broth, cooked rice and chopped tomatoes, salt and pepper, oregano and then add in chopped cabbage and cook until wilted. Put in casserole dish and back for 25 minutes on 350 and then I like to top with a fresh asiago cheese.

After trying the awesome tacos at Taco Tour, I decided some of them were so good I would try making them at home, so you can expect some taco recipes in the coming weeks.

TACO GRILLED CHEESE – This was offered at Prime Time Grilled Cheese so here is my spin! Cook your ground beef and season with paprika, chili powder, onion and garlic powder, oregano, cumin, salt and pepper and crushed red pepper flakes. I love a hearty white bread, but you could also use brioche or your choice. Butter your bread and heat butter side down on a hot skillet and top with ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, chopped olives and shredded Mexican cheese and then top with other slice of bread. Grill both sides like a grilled cheese and serve with salsa, guacamole, sour cream.
