RECIPES:
ITALIAN SQUARES – We came home from camping, and I felt like cooking . . .not on a grill. This is easy and everyone loves it. On a cookie sheet, lay down a Pillsbury Crescent Sheet, on top do a layer of sliced provolone, layer of hot ham, smoked ham, salami, pepperoni, then layer of a mix of chopped pepperoncini and roasted red peppers, layer of sliced mozzarella, and then top with a second Pillsbury Crescent sheet, and seal on each side. Brush oil or butter on top and bake at 375 for about 15-18 minutes or until golden brown, remove from oven and sprinkle on parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Cut into squares and serve.
Camping Season:
PIZZADILLAS – Turn your pizza into quesadillas! Easy and you can do whatever toppings you want. In a skillet cook up some onions and green peppers until soft and then mix, on a large tortillas spread a layer of tomato paste, Italian seasoning, fresh basil and garlic powder, add pepperoni slices, or cooked crumbled sausage, and your veggies, then shredded pizza cheese, fold together and cook on each side in oiled skillet until golden brown. Slice and serve!
