We started off the week with the Granite Chef Cookoff! Dylan and I came in 2nd, but had a lot of fun participating. Saturday was a fun day at a friend's party . . .didn't take pictures of the day, but got a picture of what I made for an appetizer. They were so good and can't wait to make them again and I will have the recipe up on Cooking on a Budget.
Sunday morning Parker, Dylan and I flew to NYC early and started our couple day adventure in the city. We stayed in Times Square and could even see the "ball" from our room! We did One World Observatory, Times Square, 9/11 Memorial, Rockerfeller Center, we ate tons of great food, visited the Bronx Zoo, FAO Schwartz, Dylan was first in line at the Nike Store, that place is 6 stories! Plus Lego Store, is so cool and of course a visit to the M&M Store, candy stores and more. A lot of walking, a lot of fun, a lot of just taking in all energy of New York City! We took an Amtrak back to Boston and stayed at Encore Casino, took the free ferry over to the Seaport District, ate some dinner and then headed back home. While we were away, Otis enjoyed a couple of days at daycare and did a great job playing with new friends. Dylan had football practice nightly so we just stayed at home the rest of the week. We had a day trip to Canobie Lake Park on Friday. Saturday was the Manchester Bears Jamboree and Sunday was a day to relax and visit with family!
