Lend a Helping Can raises money for 12 agencies to feed the needy and homeless in NH and Vermont.
The 501(c)(3) non-profit organization raised over $380,000 last year (2024) and has raised over $3 million since 1990.
Throughout the year, events are held to raise money for our partner agencies. Annual events include: The Buzz Open Golf Tournament,
Buzz Ball (a holiday variety show), and our flagship event — Lend a Helping Can — a two-day radio auction airing on-air and online
for 13½ hours each day. This year's event will be held November 16th and 17th. Expect one-of-a-kind auction items, incentives,
and celebrity guests performing or calling in to support the cause.
Agencies include: Families in Transition, My Friend's Place, Salvation Army of Manchester, Salvation Army Portsmouth,
Crossroads House, NH Food Bank, Vermont Food Bank, Community Partners, Community Action Partnership of Strafford County,
Rockingham County Community Action, David's House, and Got Lunch Programs (Campton-Thornton, Ashland-Holderness,
Inter Lakes, Sanbornton).
*Laura will arrange for item distribution and pick-ups starting on December 1st, 2025. Items that can be mailed will be mailed.
