WATCH: Teenager is Busted for Duct Taping Dead Fish to ATMs

In Provo, Utah, a 17-year-old is facing charges after allegedly taping fish to ATMs and other objects around the city. The Provo Police Department reported approximately 13 such incidents, including one where trout were taped to a police car. These acts were documented on an Instagram account named "fish_bandit84," which has amassed over 52,000 followers since its inception in August 2023.

The teenager is charged with two counts of property damage, primarily due to cleanup costs, and the case has been referred to Juvenile Justice and Youth Services. In response to these events, PETA sent an urgent letter to the Provo School District, urging educators to incorporate animal empathy lessons into their curriculum, emphasizing the importance of compassion towards all living beings.
