The Border Crisis Is Far From Over

Things may have gotten a little better at the Texas/Mexico border thanks to efforts like Operation Lone Star, but the border is still in far worse condition than it was under Trump. Illegal aliens are still pouring over the border; they just aren't getting caught as much.

Retired Homeland Security Agent Viktor Avila told KTRH the cartels bringing in these illegal aliens have switched their strategy. He said, "They figured, well if they aren't gonna be able to turn themselves in, we are gonna adjust and just bring these people undetected into the country, and that's exactly what's happening."

Avila says that even the lower number of encounters that we have seen thanks to this new cartel strategy is still a crisis. He said, "Remember, even Jake Johnson, the ex-Secretary of Homeland Security, said that even 1,000 illegals a day was unsustainable back then."

Avila says to have any chance of getting back down to that number, we would need cooperation from Mexico, which isn't likely.
