Residents around Ohio, including in Cleveland, are being asked to conserve water.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says that more than three-quarters of the state is experiencing some severity of a drought.

In Cleveland, Thursday marked the 12th straight day without rain.

Forecasters say Cleveland may finally see some rain this weekend and throughout the beginning of next week.

To conserve water, residents are urged to take shorter showers, wash full loads of laundry, only water the lawn or landscaping if necessary, and fix any leaky faucets or toilets.
