In a shocking incident, a man narrowly escaped being hit by a train while engrossed in his phone. The incident occurred in Buenos Aires, Argentina, last Monday (October 14).

Surveillance video shows the man, identified by the Daily MailI as 24-year-old Facundo Rodríguez, staring at his phone as he walks past the red and white railings blocking off the tram tracks in the middle of the road.

Rodríguez didn't check for an oncoming train as he stepped past the railings and onto the track. Less than a second later, a train barreled into the station, grazing Rodríguez and causing him to stumble back and fall to the ground.

He quickly got up as two rail workers rushed over to check on him. He is seen talking about the incident and pointing to his head. Paramedics were called, and he was treated at the scene for undisclosed injuries.

Service on the train line was suspended for about 45 minutes due to the incident.
