(Iowa) -- Iowa is among the top ten states in the country seeing an increase in sports betting revenue.
National sports betting website Props recently reviewed data for all 50 states from the American Gaming Association, focusing on the increases in sports betting revenue between 2022 and 2023. Iowa ranked tenth in the nation with a 22% increase in sports betting revenue during that period.
The top 10 states include:
- Maryland - 244% increase
- Kansas - 138% increase
- Arkansas - 108% increase
- Louisiana - 70% increase
- Oregon - 53% increase
- New Jersey - 32% increase
- Connecticut - 28% increase
- Illinois - 26% increase
- New York - 24% increase
- Iowa - 22% increase
Iowa's sports betting revenue rose from $$166 million in 2022 to $202 million in 2023.
