I spent some time over the holidays in Vietnam. Like many warm weather places, the primary beer is a lager. It's something cold, crisp and easy to drink. When I saw a craft beer bar, I was excited, but had low expectations. Could a craft brewery in Hanoi really brew awesome beer? Turns out, the answer is YES. Hanoi Homebrew had several styles, and they were all outstanding. IPA, Hazy, Pilsner, Stout...they nailed it! The Pale Ale was my favorite. Yes, drinking a light lager is good when it's 80 degrees. But in the cooler evenings, this beer hit the spot. Haven't been to Vietnam? You're missing out. SO much to see, and inexpensive food and drink is bountiful. Cheers!
