New winter rates are kicking in for Cape Light Compact's more than 200-thousand customers now that the new year is here.
Residential pricing is down to just over 12 cents per kilowatt hour, a 22-percent decrease from last winter and an eight-percent dip from rates folks paid in December.
Despite the downward adjustment, the Compact is still encouraging everyone to explore improving energy efficiency in their homes and is offering incentives to get it done.
