Friday, January 3, 2025: The DMV region is gearing up for a wintry mix today. Expect intermittent rain and snow showers starting after 1 p.m., with temperatures hovering around 43°F. Snow showers may impact the afternoon and evening commute, so exercise caution on the roads. Any precipitation could refreeze overnight, leading to icy conditions

Saturday, January 4, 2025: Saturday will offer a brief respite from the wintry weather, with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid-40s. It's a good day to prepare for the more significant storm expected later in the weekend.

Sunday, January 5, 2025: The main event begins late Sunday night, bringing a more substantial snowstorm to the region. Snow is expected to start late Sunday and continue into Monday, with accumulations of 2-4 inches in the D.C. area and up to 8 inches further north towards Baltimore. The storm may also bring sleet and freezing rain, particularly in areas south of D.C.

Stay safe and warm this weekend, and keep an eye on local weather updates for the latest information.
