Bodycam Of Ice-T’s Run-in With Police Officer During Traffic Stop Released

Ice-T’s tense confrontation with a New Jersey police officer last year is now available for the public to see.

The actor and rapper was stopped in New Jersey for expired plates from 2021. He told the officer that he was actually headed to the Department of Motor Vehicles to take care of the issue after the system was “down” the day before.

At that point, the officer started pressing Ice-T for more details, such as asking the actor/rapper what time his appointment was for the day prior. Ice-T let him know that he didn’t have one — he was going to walk in and take care of the issue. “I don’t need one because they know me,” he said.

After more questions about his license and the car, Ice-T asked the officer if he was going to jail. Once the officer said that he wasn’t, Ice-T requested if he could park the car and just walk over to the nearby DMV. From there, things escalated even more once the officer informed Ice-T that he would be towing his vehicle.

Ice-T hopped out of the car and told the officer to “get this on camera.” “I’m one foot away from the DMV — you’re a *** ass****,” he said. “I showed you all of the paperwork.”

A police sergeant eventually showed up to help alleviate the conversation. Ice-T still received four tickets for the situation — even though the sergeant claimed that he tried to get the officer to only write him two.

The situation ended with the officer giving Ice-T his keys back and telling him to “just show some respect.” Ice-T then responded, “I don’t have to.”
