A bizarre case involving a New Year's Eve arrest and a man who claims aliens abducted him.
34-year old Jean Rene Mathias is on house arrest and was ordered by a judge to undergo a mental health evaluation.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says the man was using a knife to carve his initials and symbols into the exterior of a car parked in front of a home near West Palm Beach and when confronted by the homeowner, turned the knife on them.
The victim was able to run inside his home unharmed and when deputies arrived, Mathias was completely nude. According to the arrest report, he told deputies that he wanted to die because he was abducted by aliens.
The owner of the car and witnesses say they know Mathias and have never seen him act this way.
