It's Divorce Day! The #1 Day of the Year for Breakups
It might be a good day to arrive home with flowers . . .
The first working Monday of 2025 means it's "DIVORCE DAY" . . . the day of the year you're most likely to get dumped. (!!!)
It's not clear if it's really true or not. But stats show January probably does deserve the title of "Divorce MONTH." A study in 2020 found Google searches for things like "quickie divorce" more than double every January.
Experts think it's because people tend to avoid breakups in November and December to just get through the holidays. Or sometimes, all the holiday stress can be the final straw.
The first working Monday gets the "Divorce Day" title because the added stress of getting back to work can push people over the edge.
In other words, it's a good day to toss out a random compliment or do something nice for your partner. It could save your relationship . . . for now.
(Divorce Day comes on the heels of "Dating Sunday", which was yesterday. The first Sunday of the year tends to see a lot more traffic on dating apps.)
