Cold Snap Has South Florida's Wildlife Scrambling

South Florida's wildlife struggling in this cold snap. Broward Environmental Program's Dr. Pat Quinn says manatees need access to water warmer than 68 degrees to survive prolonged cold weather. Prolonged exposure to lower water temperatures causes manatees to lose body heat, leading to a condition called "cold stress" which can be fatal. Sea turtles experience cold stunning, a condition where they are left weak and inactive by cold water, so they start floating near shore.
