Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have opened up their $14 million Montecito mansion to friends and loved ones seeking refuge from the destructive Palisades fire currently wreaking havoc across Los Angeles.

According to People, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex extended a hand by welcoming evacuees into their home, located "about 90 miles north of the Los Angeles area."

The royal pair live near Santa Barbara with their two children Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3. In addition to opening their home to friends and loved ones seeking shelter amid the fires, Harry and Meghan are also using their Archewell Foundation to aid those impacted by the devastating crisis.

People mentioned that the pair are also searching for the best ways to volunteer and assist with "mental health recovery" both immediately and long term. The beloved couple are also partnering with World Central Kitchen, one of the many foundations dedicated to delivering meals to individuals impacted by the fires. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also donated clothing and supplies of their own, and have issued a statement on how others can lend a helping hand, regardless of where they live, via sussex.com.
