Mac Miller's first new song in nearly five years has arrived.
On Thursday, January 9, the late rapper's estate debuted his latest single "5 Dollar Pony Rides" via Mac Miller's Estate and Warner Records. The song was recorded by Josh Berg in Los Angeles in 2014. Miller wrote the track alongside Thundercat and his two brothers, Ronald and Jameel. He also produced the record under his revered alias Larry Fisherman.
"I remember, girl, you used to have fun/Now I ain't seen a smile in a while," Mac croons on the chorus. Heard you're feelin' pretty lonely/Your daddy shoulda got you that pony/Let me give you what you want."
The song is set to appear on Mac Miller's upcoming posthumous album Balloonerism. Fans may have heard unofficial versions of the album over the years, however, this will serve as the official edition of the long-lost LP. Mac's estate first announced the album's arrival during Tyler, the Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw festival last November. Earlier this week, his family shared the official tracklist with 14 songs including a collaboration with SZA. Balloonerism will arrive on January 17, which is also the five-year anniversary of Mac's previous posthumous album Circles.
Mac's new song arrived on the same day as other fresh tracks from Tyga, OT7 Quanny, Memphis Bleek and others. You can hear those new songs on iHeartRadio's Rap Rising playlist now. Listen to Mac Miller's new song below plus more new music from Rod Wave, wolfacejoeyy, Ransom and more.
