(Rock Island, IL) -- The Rock Island School District says no weapons have been found since they installed weapons detectors at Rock Island High, and Edison and Washington Junior High Schools.
The technology was installed last Summer in time for the new school year.
The District says this summer they plan to renovate the entrances to both junior highs to better accommodate the weapons detectors.
The Davenport School District will also be installing 19 weapons detectors in its high schools and middle schools.
They expect to have them in by fourth quarter of this school year.
