Country music is going to play a big part in Donald Trump's inaugural festivities. It was announced yesterday that Carrie Underwood would be performing "America, The Beautiful," accompanied by the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club. While many are thrilled that Carrie will be performing at the prestigious event, some questioned her decision to do so. In a statement, Carrie said, "I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future." She's not the only country artist performing that day: Jason Aldean and Rascal Flatts have been booked to perform at the Inaugural Ball later that evening. Aldean has been a vocal supporter of the President-elect for years, and Gary Levox of Rascal Flatts performed at the Veterans Inaugural Ball back in 2017 when Trump was inaugurated the first time. The inauguration takes place at noon next Monday, January 20.
