There are more than two years to go before the election but a West Palm Beach City Commissioner says she is running for mayor.
Christina Lambert announced yesterday that she is putting her hat in the ring to replace Mayor Keith James who is in his second and final term.
The election will be held in March of 2027 and Lambert is the first candidate to run.
She has the endorsement of James who called her the "best choice" and a "leader" who has put in time to understand the city's issues, process and vision for the future.
Lambert has been on the City Commission since 2018.
