DEA Announces Multiple Arrests In Drug Trafficking Case With Houston Ties

In a news conference this morning at Houston's DEA headquarters, Special Agent Daniel Comeaux, and others announced multiple arrests have been made in another massive case of drug trafficking and money laundering.

A total of 30 people are now in custody after a major 20-month operation in the Houston area.

Criminal organizations including the Jalisco cartel, CJNG, used a network to launder funds through the sales of cellphones. Investigators received more $6.8 million in drug money.

In total, law enforcement seized from 'Operation Not', approximately 754 kilograms of cocaine, 111kilos of meth, 6 kilos of heroin, and 4 kilos of fentanyl.

"The great thing for the Houston area is, we all work together" Comeaux said, "We come together as one team to take care of business against these drug cartels, from Galveston all the way to Houston. We work as one, and when we work as one this is what you see, these types of results. True impact in the community that's going to make a difference."
