The 18th annual King of The Wings tournament is set to take place in Poughkeepsie on Saturday (January 25). The event will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Center Court in the Poughkeepsie Galleria. Participants will compete to eat 18 wings faster than their opponents, with the winner advancing to the grand finale on February 1 at the MJN Center, where a $5,000 prize awaits.
The tournament is free to enter, and registration can be completed online in advance. Each qualifier offers a $100 cash prize, adding excitement to the competition. The event is part of the larger Hudson Valley Wingfest 18, which will feature more restaurants, food trucks, and caterers than ever before, offering a variety of unique flavors for attendees to enjoy.
In addition to the wing-eating contest, Wingfest will include live music, games, and prizes, making it a fun-filled event for all ages. The event is organized by the Mid-Hudson Civic Center, a not-for-profit community organization dedicated to providing cultural, recreational, and enrichment opportunities to the Hudson Valley.
For those interested in participating or attending, more information can be found on the Poughkeepsie Galleria website.
