We talked about Trump’s ‘brilliantly played’ move against the socialist president of Colombia yesterday: their president blocked to US transports from landing and had no intention of taking back their own thugs and criminals-rounded up here as illegals-
Until Donald Trump threatened them with five significant actions against their country that would occur, unless they did, including immediate tariffs on all Colombian goods coming into America.
Colombia’s president changed his tune, immediately.
This wasn’t just a bad moment for president Petro, down there in Colombia, it was a ‘teaching moment’ for other foreign countries who intend to refuse to take their own illegal aliens back.
Well- received message. This clearly struck home with other leaders in central and South America, and the trump administration did a ‘smart thing’ and followed up his threats with some additional emphasis from top congressional leaders-and newly minted sect of state Marco Rubio.
Mike Johnson said, Colombia and all nations should be ‘on notice’:
That’s a good ‘follow up’ from GOP leaders in congress. Then there’s Marco Rubio, new sect of state, who I think will be very effective in this job, because he’s a plan speaker, and gifted rhetorically. He’s always been come off as a very logical and convincing senator to me-
Now he’s speaking for the entire country from the State Department-
And sect Rubio said:
But they are.
We can categorize these two ways: the illegals rounded up in this country who were on the planes back home on Saturday that Petro wouldn’t let land-were literally- felons. Criminals in this country and/or in his country.
And so, Trump was literally transporting criminals back to Colombia, when the president of that country said its citizens shouldn’t be treated like criminals.
They were ‘actual’ criminals.
But the second way to interpret Petro’s statement, ‘don’t treat our countrymen like criminals’.....would be in reference to ‘otherwise law abiding’ Colombians who are here illegally.
Okay.
We -do- put them in a different category of lawbreaker in this country: they just came here to try to build a better life- and genuinely- virtually all Americans understand that.
But- there is a right way and a wrong way to come into this country-and the way they have come in was ‘the wrong way’. They broke our immigration and border laws to do it. Some of them might be working off stolen or fraudulent social security cards and stolen identities. They are still lawbreakers.
If they’d entered the country legally, they wouldn’t -ever- find themselves ‘in custody’ and on a plane back to Colombia.
And so- president Petro can moan all he wants: he’s getting back criminals.
And as senator Eric Schmitt reminded the Fox news audience yesterday: every president in the history of the country has deported illegal aliens in some way.
SEN. ERIC SCHMITT: We can do this the easy way or the hard way. But one way or another the American people have spoken on this. We're going to deport people who are here illegally.
JON SCOTT, FOX NEWS: Colombia's president, who is something of a leftist, said you can't, meaning the United States, cannot treat our people, Colombians like criminals. What is your response?
SEN. ERIC SCHMITT: Well, these are criminals. In the U.S., we believe in sovereignty, we will reestablish the sovereignty of our own borders and actually enforce the laws that are on the books.
Deportation is nothing new. Bill Clinton deported 12 million people. When you see this human cry from the left, it is because they have been captured by the radical left that believes in open borders. They think these are just arbitrary lines on a map and we're all global citizens and American taxpayers that should fund all this stuff. That is not how it works.
So President Trump is going to send these criminals back. This repatriation process can go smoothly with the cooperation of these countries, or as President Trump has indicated, he is willing to slap on tariffs, suspend visa applications, and cut off those appointments to our embassies. All of those options are on the table. He means business. I think the American people support this. No one could ever imagine that in four years, we'd have seen 15 million people come here illegally.
I’ve talked about how- back in the George w. Bush era- as recently as 2008- virtually all democrats in this country (and serving in congress) agreed that we needed to close and control our borders and deport illegal aliens when we came across them. Not just the criminals.
It wasn’t until the Obama era that- in desperation to win a majority coalition on their side of the aisle- that Pelosi, Obama and the dems caved to the pro-illegal activists. It was ‘that recent’ that the democrat party platform flip flopped on this.
And even then- in the Obama era- ‘criminals’ needed to be rounded up and deported.
For younger listeners and people with bad memories- it was Barrack Obama who made this deal with the devil on the left-and who started to parse out the ‘law abiding illegals’ from the ‘criminal illegals.
It was Barrack Obama who-as recently as 2014-was still saying: criminal illegals go back...and no illegal is safe from deportation. Listen.
That was Obama in 2014-and if you listened closely- that is precisely. Precisely. What Tom Homan and the trump spokespeople are saying today: the criminals need to go back, and if you are caught up in the raid because you are ‘criminal adjacent’ or ‘just in the wrong place at the wrong time’- if you’re illegal- you’ll be deported to.
You just heard barrack Obama say that exact thing. That’s how he ran ‘his shop’ for 8 years and as recently as 2016. Or at least pretended to.
And so-how can these deportations be ‘right and reasonable’ under a democrat regime-but evil and racist under a republican regime?
The answer is: they’re not.
They represent perfectly reasonable enforcement of our border and immigration laws-and some of us would like to see even more aggressive deportation efforts.
As our Northwoods congressman- Tom Tiffany- said on X yesterday:
And that- right there-is the ‘main reason’ that today’s democrats don’t have a single leg to stand on...when it comes to their hollow ‘righteousness’ related to illegals and deportations.
Sorry- they lost all ‘high ground’ and every last bit of their ‘moral voice’ when they allowed Joe Biden and his regime to erase our borders and allow for mass misery, 400-thousand fentanyl deaths, millions of children and women illegally trafficked and or raped and taken advantage of on the journey up...etc.
Biden and the party members of his who orchestrated and supported all the crime and death and dysfunction and misery of the last four years- have zero credibility and zero moral authority now: sit down and shut up.
If you sat silently and -actively chose-to do nothing as Biden and his team were so terribly harming this country- you need to sit down and shut the hell up now- because no one wants to hear from you.
That’s the bottom line, as of today.
For a short while yesterday, actress Selena Gomez had a categorically ludicrous video up...in which she was bawling. Hard crying. About how her ‘people’ were being taken away and how terrible trump’s deportations are...etc.
It went viral-in part-because it was Selena Gomez- but mostly because it was so patently ridiculous and over the top-
And i don’t know much about Selena Gomez-but for the record- she’s got an Italian mother, a Mexican father who was never in the picture, and Spanish-speakers in LA say her Spanish is terrible.
And so- even some in Hollywood were mocking her: who are these ‘people’ she’s wailing over?
She’s an American kid who wasn’t even raised by her Mexican father.
Long story short: Gomez got so much blowback over it that she deleted the video rather quickly...within an hour or two....but oof. It was spread around any way and she and the ‘crocodile tears’ crowd just got pounded online.
This weepy video was brought up to Tom Homan, the border czar, in a later interview, and he made all of the salient points: these are criminals going back who have victimized, raped, or killed Americans.
Folks-the democrats and their leftist whiners gave up any-and-all the ‘moral high ground’ that they’ve thought they have on this issue for decades. Sorry- any credibility that you might have had- you - whizzed it all away- during the Biden era with your lawlessness...and with the incredible amount of heartlessness you displayed in that era....as innocent immigrants and Americans, alike, were victimized, robbed, raped, murdered, sold into slavery.

We don’t want to hear your false piety and you’re mewling and whining now.
Apparently, in Chicago, city leaders were complaining that they were never notified before the trump- era immigration raids started there.
Well, of course they weren’t because Homan’s ice agents notified city leaders that they intended to start last Monday-and that information was immediately leaked to the media-
And so, of course ice wasn’t going to make that mistake twice. Attempt number one was: be cordial, cooperate with the locals, let them know ICE and DEA, etc. were going to be on their turf.
And Brandon Johnson’s office, or someone atop Chicago PD, or something- someone on the ‘city’s side’ leaked it to warn the illegals ahead of time...
And so...who would be dumb enough to keep ‘playing nice’ with Chicago’s leaders?
But as Tom Homan said: either way, this is happening. With local cooperation or without. Either way this is happening.
And he’s been proving it in Chicago, LA, NY and elsewhere over the last week.
Good.
The first week ‘total’ from ice was 24 hundred arrests in just one week. Okay. That’d still only be about ten thousand arrests per month- when Biden and Mayorkas were letting in the illegals at a pace of about 15-thousand a month- between the ’border crossers’ and those using the app.
It's still going to take forever before we make a dent in the last four years of lawlessness.
