In a rare joint interview, President Trump and Elon Musk visited with Sean Hannity on Fox News to discuss their working relationship, and the efforts of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
The President sang high praises of Musk's efforts to bring credibility back to government.
"He is a leader, he gets it done," Trump said.
The President and Musk have both faces heated criticism from the Left over DOGE, and the slashing of federal government jobs, fraud, and waste. During the interview, Musk was asked about DOGE's role as a form of 'tech support' for President Trump.
"That may seem like a silly thing, but it is very important...the President will make these executive orders for the betterment of the country, then they do not get implemented," Musk said. "If the will of the President is not implemented, and the President is representative of the people, that means the will of the people is not being implemented. That means we live in a bureaucracy, not a democracy."
Trump also took shots at the various media attacks on both of them, saying the media is trying to drive them apart, and it is not working.
"They are so bad at it, I used to think they were good at it...but if they were good at it, I would not be president. Because nobody in history has gotten more bad publicity than me," Trump said.
Amid the hour-long interview, Musk was asked about stranded astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, who have been left on the International Space Station for almost a whole year. Musk says they have plans in the next four weeks to bring them back home. Trump said Musk never had the permission to do so under Biden.
"You have the go-ahead now...they did not have that with Biden. I think he was going to leave them in space...I do not think he wanted the publicity; can you believe that?" said Trump.
Trump added he is excited he has four years to get his work done but is moving quickly with executive orders to ensure it gets accomplished.
