A Jefferson Parish firefighter is on administrative leave after making comments Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng took as a threat.
A judge granted Lee Sheng a temporary restraining order against Stephen Orkus Jr. on Friday.
During a Jefferson Parish Council meeting last week, firefighters demanded pay raises.
Orkus told Lee Sheng the firefighters have "eyes and ears all over the place," including Coconut Beach, where she plays volleyball.
The case returns to court on Thursday.
