BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Envoy Hotel has brought the sport of curling to new heights, literally.
The hotel’s rooftop bar has added curling to its menu of activities for guests, however this version of the sport is a little different than the actual Olympic sport.

“I would have to say that the biggest thing is that we’re not on ice,” said Chris DeMilia, the hotel’s General Manager.
The hotel did not want anybody to risk falling on the ice, especially after a few drinks from the nearby bar, so there’s no ice rink and the curling rocks have tiny wheels on the bottom.
“As you give a push on the stone it is actually not that easy, you have to give it a good push, you want it to feel real,” DeMilia added.
The curling setup is also smaller than a traditional setup.
According to the Rooftop at the Envoy’s website, the curling rinks can accommodate two to four guests at a time and must be reserved.
