The Aladdin remake is out in theaters. In order to prevent piracy with those lovely iPhone versions of this scene leaking on the internet, Disney decided to release the famous carpet ride sing-a-long we all know by heart for us to see. I liked the 1992 version better, but realistically, anyone who grew up with that version will say the same thing. Despite that, this isn't terrible by any means but I have to ask this: what "world" is Aladdin showing Jasmine? In the animated one we saw Egypt, Greece, and the endless diamond sky. Here, we just see rivers, waterfalls, a few ships, trees and houses. It's like he just took her around the block of her neighborhood and said "I can show you the world". Liar!
PS...remember in the 1992 version, there was a bird that screams because he is baffled to see humans in the sky. THEY TOOK THAT OUT! That was my favorite part of the whole song.
