The Ducktales Reboot Series Is Pretty Damn Great...Here's Why!

The people over at Ducktales really know how to honor the original version of the show, hell the entire former Disney Afternoon block! Most recently we saw the show bring back Darkwing Duck (my personal favorite) back into the fold of the duck-verse. On top of that, the show also nods to others. The Gummi Bears, Talespin, Goof Troop, and even within their own show! There was an episode called Treasure of the FOUND Lamp which was a pun from the Ducktales movie in 1990.

I've been meaning to post this for some time, but recently Disney has been playing the series non-stop and I have been watching non-stop. I saw the Christmas episode where Dewey goes back in time to find his mother Della and her brother, Donald Duck....as kids. Young Donald is voiced by someone you might recognize! Russi Taylor. Okay, so you may not know the name but she was responsible for the voices of Huey, Dewey, and Louie in the original Ducktales series. When the reboot came to life, instead of casting one person for multiple characters (she also voiced Webby) Disney decided to give each young duck their own individual voice actor since this time around, their personalities would be different from the original. I love the fact they brought her back for an episode. Shows the writers are still respecting the original series and gives the parents (and non-parents) something familiar to get excited about.

Also...you can understand as a kid, but as he got older we get that traditional Donald Duck "what-did-he-say" voice. Puberty was NOT kind to him!

at the end of this one...you'll hear a very familiar catch phrase that the Duck triplets use to say!
