Anyone remember what day it is? Odd times we are in. I keep remembering what Alfred said in The Dark Knight
and that is true in this case! Whether you are out of work, out of school, or just worried in general, fear not, we will get over this bump in the road. Everything in life is different. Grocery stores, banks, hospitals, you name it, it's different. But just remember what Alfred said. Now, let's geek out in the latest Geek Freak of the Week!
A Comic Book Cliffhanger
It was only a matter of time until this epidemic affected the comic book industry. Diamond Comics Distributors, these are the guys who deliver the comics from print to stands...aka the bloodline of the comic book industry, are going to be halting deliveries to local comic book shops and big retailers around the country until the Corona Crisis ends.
Unless the store you go to provides another service other than comics, than this will mean local comic book shops will close down while Diamond is practicing social distancing. You better get your store soon to stalk up on what comics you need so you can get all caught up!
Of course, there is the download option, but this will in the long run, hurt your local comic book shop. So please I beg you, like Green Lantern, have strong will power and resist getting the urge and the addiction to downloading comic books.
It's Flash-Time!
It looks like a stand alone Flash movie starring Ezra Miller is still a-go for the DCEU. However, it was suppose to start in just a few weeks in April but now it seems it will have to wait. Seriously, can Barry just run change time so we skip to where we aren't dealing with a world pandemic? I'm totally for a Flashpoint scenario.
Speaking of Flashpoint...still no word if that is going to be the story used for the solo film. The way the DCEU is going, I think it's needed more than ever to help re-set things.
Moved For The 1984-th Time.
So, here's ANOTHER story about how COVID-19 is f-ing up our lives. Sorry, for the language but I am very VERY P.O.-ed that I have to share all this negativity in the Geek Freak. This news isn't as bad as it could be but Wonder Woman 1984 is now delayed to arrive in theaters. it's moving from June 5th to August 14th of 2021. That's just over a two month delay. Like I said, not as bad as it could of been but it's just annoying that this is happening to another movie that has already been pushed back.
Jack Is Back!
Cancel your plans...oh, right, stay-in-inside rule and all. YOUR hero has arrived! Samurai Jack, a man of honor, has decided to grace us with his presence during these difficult times.
