No, Don't Touch That! Read The Latest Geek Freak of the Week Instead.

Hello fellow geeks, nerds, and dorks. Time to break down all the nerd news and geek gossip that came out this week.

Before we get started, remember that episode one of season two of The Mandalorian is now streaming on Disney+.

How come no one is out there wearing his helmet in these crazy times? It does feel that we are living in those times, right?
Anyways, let's geek out!

Red Hood Is In The House

A lot to process as we begin this week. Not only will Titans, the series showcasing the "side-kicks" of DC's main superhero lineup, move from DCuniverse to HBO Max when the show returns for its third season, we will also be seeing the change to one of its characters. Jason Todd, played by Curran Walters, will be trading in his bird-a-rangs and Robin cape for the Red Hood persona.

In one of the many incarnations of the Joker's origin story, before he became the clown prince of crime he used the term "Red Hood" in the 1988 story The Killing Joke. Will they make the connection? Bigger question, will Titans use Jason's path towards this new persona from the "Death in the Family" story arc or take on their own version?

Need to catch up on seasons 1 and 2 of Titans? As of November 1st both seasons will be available to stream on HBO Max.

Moon Knight Unmasked?

First it was confirmed, then rumored, then confirmed again, now back to rumors. Regardless, it seems the Star Wars sequel-trilogy alum, Oscar Issac, is in some sort of talks to play Moon Knight in the upcoming Disney+ series from Marvel Studios.

Oscar Issac is no stranger to Marvel...just not the Disney version of Marvel. He portrayed En Subah Nur a.k.a. Apocalypse in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse.

Due to COVID-19 shutting down most of Marvel's stand alone series productions it seems Moon Knight will be scheduled to appear later than expected on Disney+.

Turtle Power!

The turtles are turning 30! Well, the movie about the heroes in a half shell is turning 30. Who knows what age Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Rafael really are. Do you know how turtles age? Does mutagen slow or speed up the average life span? so many questions! To honor this anniversary, Fathom Events will be showing screenings of the 1990 film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from November 5th-7th.

New Suit, Who Dis?

Here's the first look at Javicia Leslie suited up as the Scarlet Knight of Gotham. Although Batwoman returns in January, Javicia Leslie's character, Ryan Wilder, will make her debut in the third episode of season 2.

More red...or scarlet in the suit then in the season one incarnation. The utility belt is different. There's a chin strap that's from her cowl. The most obvious change, the hair. What is going on there? I won't judge that much right now. Maybe it'll look and work better on television.
