Friday the 13th is here. Oh boy. Here's The Geek Freak of the Week.

If your Friday and weekend is filled with some bad luck, maybe this will distract you while your sage and lucky rabbits foot work their magic. Let's geek out.

Back to the Academy

Netflix has (finally) renewed The Umbrella Academy for a third season. Let's all say it. IT'S ABOUT TIME! Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, Five, and Yanya are going to be reunited with their brother Ben (who died in the original timeline) and father, Sir Reginald Hargreeves once more after creating a new timeline that resulted with the Umbrella Academy being stranded in the 1960's.

Production is set to begin in February of 2021

Meet Your New Neighbors

Look who has moved in! Wanda a.k.a. the Scarlett Witch and Vision a.k.a. JARVIS but not JARVIS are arriving on your screens this January. Marvel's first Disney+ series is ready to go and the pilot episode will be available to stream Friday, January 15th, 2021. The Marvel series will have six episodes and follow the same formula that The Mandalorian is using with new episodes coming out every Friday.

Did Disney Maul It?

One of the great questions in life will forever be this...."Did Disney Ruin Star Wars?". I mean, they don't have that climatic feel that we felt from Empire Strikes Back or that pit in your stomach after watching Revenge of the Sith. If George Lucas had his way with any type of input or direction for the sequel trilogy, it would have included Darth Maul, at least according to a new book that is coming out.

As seen in Solo: A Star Wars Story, we know the former apprentice of the Sith is alive and kicking (ok, bad joke) but he is the leader of the criminal organization Crimson Dawn. He also appears frequently in both Star Wars: Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels, which, in my own nerdy opinion, did a fantastic job concluding the characters story arc.

Prepare Yourself For The Rubber Band Man

Now that song is stuck in your head. And no, I am not apologizing for that either. With THE Suicide Squad ready to go for DC and Warner Brothers, Director James Gunn can now get ready for everything and anything that is needed for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 which is scheduled to be released sometime in 2022.
