Don't be shocked! It's The Geek Freak of the Week.

Another week has gone by and if you need weekend plans, might I suggest you go and watch all of WandaVision on Disney+. The finale is now out. Remember, no spoilers until Monday!

Alright, let's geek out!

Comic-Con From The Couch

For the second year in a row, International Comic-Con in San Deigo has been canceled. With COVID-19 preventing large gatherings and how the San Diego Convention Center is still set up as a COVID-19 hospital, the organizers (sometimes called The Grand Council) of San Diego Comic-Con have decided to cancel the in-person event and move towards an online version. This announcement was revealed on Twitter this past Monday.

Announcing it this early sends a clear message that we are not out of the woods just yet when it comes to large gatherings, even when vaccines are being distributed to the population. As stated in the tweet, a smaller event is being planned for this November. That means you still have time to perfect your cosplay.

Bat to the Future

Want a Batman Beyond revival? Let the overlords of Warner Brothers know!

During IGN's FanFest last Saturday, February 27, casting director Andrea Romano (the Godmother of the DC Animated Universe from the '90s) along with Kevin Conroy, Will Friedle, Michael Rosenbaum, and Cree Summer gathered on Zoom to perform a table read from the season 3 episode "Out of the Past". You can watch that amazing event here.

During the Q&A period, it was asked if the series could ever be brought back. Andrea Romano stated that if fans of Batman Beyond want the show back, (I'm going to assume as series or a movie) then fans will need to let Warner Bros know. So...who's ready to go sign some online pensions!

Batman Beyond ran from 1999-2001 with 52 episodes and one straight-to-DVD movie, Return of the Joker. If you want to add the Knight of Tomorrow to your collection, there is a Target-exclusive figure that will be released later this month. Check it out here

The Snyder Cuts The Titles

There have been many "stories" about how Zack Snyder's Justice League will be released on HBO Max later this month. First, we heard this version was going to be four 1-hour parts released over the span of 2021. Next, we heard it was going to be one long feature-length film with a run time of 4 hours and 2 minutes. This past week, Zack Snyder released the chapter titles. They are...

  • Part 1: "Don't Count On It, Batman"
  • Part 2: Age of Heroes
  • Part 3: Beloved Mother, Beloved Son
  • Part 4: "Change Machine"
  • Part 5: All The King's Horses
  • Part 6: Something Darker

Alright. Math time! If the runtime is 4 hours and 2 minutes. That translates to 242 minutes, and with 6 parts, that's roughly 40 mins a chapter. Right? Math wasn't my thing so I hope I'm right.

Zack Synder's Justice League arrives exclusively on HBO Max on Thursday, March 18th.
