Crocodile Undergoes Surgery To Remove---A Shoe

A nearly 11-foot long crocodile weighing 350 pounds has undergone surgery to remove a tourist's shoe from its stomach.

The croc, who lives at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park in Florida, ate the shoe when it fell off someone's foot who was ziplining over the enclosure in December.

Vets tried to use several other methods to get the croc to -- "expel" -- the shoe, but nothing worked so surgery was their last resort. Officials say luckily, the operation was a success and the crocodile is back home recuperating. Has your pet eaten something odd/unusual that eventually required surgery?
