Yeah so.... I don't know where to begin with this one, the idea for the play itself, the reason they were fined, or the fact that that's a woman dressed in a giant penis suit. This play in Quebec about the male condition and the conflicts between impulsion and inner struggle, was fined after the lead actor pulled about a fake cigarette while having a heated exchange with his penis. I just wrote that, what has the world come to?
That laded them a $500 fine as it's against their Tobacco Control Act in Quebec to smoke is public space like that. But no tobacco was involved, as the cigarette was filled with sage not tobacco. Police didn't care though, but the theatre says they will fight the fine. I just hope they bring the penis suit to the courtroom.
