Driver Exits Car Wash, Drives Straight into a River

We're not sure what's worse - plunging the car into the river or the fact that you had just paid to have it washed. A 64-year-old in New Jersey inadvertently hit the gas has she drove her SUV out of a Hackensack car wash - and straight into the water. NBC New reports a bystander ran into the river - helping to pull Evelyn Asperilla and her 27-year-old passenger to safety. Police noted the absence of barricades which would have prevented the incident. Video shows the car wash exit sits only feet from the river. No injuries were reported - except, maybe, to the 2002 Mercedes, Have you ever accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes? What driving stories can you look back on and laugh at?
