Serial Vandal Terrorizes Plymouth, MA

Police in Plymouth, Massachusetts are on the hunt for a serial vandal after an eighth landmark has been defaced in less than a week. The latest to be vandalized is the city's 9/11 memorial, which was officials say was "desecrated" sometime on Sunday. A statue of a police officer, which stood next to a granite pillar displaying the name of those killed in the attacks, was found knocked over with its head broken off, city officials say. Plymouth firefighters have since restored the statue, tweeting afterward, "They can knock us down, but we will always get back up even stronger." Over the past six days, such iconic sites as the Plymouth Rock, the Pilgrim Maiden Statue and the National Monument to the Forefathers have suffered damage. In most cases, the monuments were sprayed with red paint. Wouldn't you expect there to be security cameras near something as important as Plymouth Rock? Why would someone do this?
