The Georgetown Community Center had a "packed house" for the swearing-in ceremony of the small Colorado town's newest elected official. Parker the Snow Dog became the honorary mayor last month, after receiving unanimous support from the Board of Selectmen. According to his website, Parker ran on "pawlicies" of bringing "hugs, love, and cookies to the people of Georgetown." When not in the Clear Creek County office, citizens can find Mayor Parker spending time working with the disabled community as a therapy dog as well as on TV with the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. How do you feel about these sorts of public events?
