Boston Marathon Postponed Due to Coronavirus

The 2020 Boston Marathon was postponed Friday morning after a press conference for organizers, Boston mayor Marty Walsh, and Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker. The 124th annual marathon will now be run on Monday September 14th of this year. Officials have said they plan on creating a special holiday to hold the marathon according to WCVB. The race draws more than 30,000 runners from around the world each year and has only been cancelled once in 1918, when a military relay has held instead during World War One.
