1: A Christmas Carol: A Radio Play

Dec. 13 – 7:30 pm | Dec. 14 – 2 pm & 7:30 pm | Dec. 15 – 2 pm

The classic Charles Dickens story of Ebenezer Scrooge and the Spirits that visit him unfolds in a retro style radio play! You the audience will be inside the studios of radio station WSRT as nine actors portray dozens of characters to broadcast this timeless story, while an integrated soundscape and visuals enhance the experience. Great Holiday fun for the entire family!

2: Holiday in the Village: A La Mesa Tradition

WHEN: Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 12 - 9 pm

WHERE: La Mesa Blvd. btwn. Spring St. - 4th St. in the heart of downtown La Mesa

The La Mesa Village Association's 9th annual Holiday in the Village event is right around the corner. This year we will offer NEW and exciting enhanced holiday traditions that are fully immersed in La Mesa’s charm in addition to your annual favorites. Best of all, the activities are FREE to enjoy!

  • Synthetic Ice Skating Rink, 12 - 9 pm: Glide into the holidays with a magical ice skating experience. This FREE activity takes place from 12 - 9 pm. Be sure to fill out the waiver online before you arrive to skate at https://bit.ly/IceSkatingWaiverClick here for Ice Skating FAQs.
  • Mrs. Claus Reading Nook, 1 - 9 pm: Enjoy holiday stories read aloud by Mrs. Claus at the top of each hour beginning at 1 pm. Stories are approximately 15-minutes, followed by time for fun photo opportunities.
  • Gingerbread House Photo Op, 12 - 9 pm: Stop by the gingerbread shoppe to snap a festive photo with family & friends
  • Winter Wonderland, 12 - 9 pmKids can bounce & play in a variety of fun inflatables
  • Kids Holiday Shopping Program, 12 - 9 pm: A variety of participating vendors and local businesses will offer items at a reduced price for kids 10 years and under to shop for holiday gift giving!

3: Sunday 12/15/24: SDFC CHROME BALL CUP, PRESENTED BY TRUST & WILL

The Chrome Ball Cup, presented by Trust & Will, marks the final stop of San Diego FC’s Chrome Ball Tour, a groundbreaking 18-city initiative that has united San Diego’s diverse neighborhoods through soccer, art, and culture. Held at Snapdragon Stadium’s Thrive Lot, this community-focused event will take place on Sunday, Dec. 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PT. Teams can sign up to participate at SanDiegoFC.com.

 

Chrome Ball Cup Event Timeline: 

·       10:00 a.m. – 5v5 Tournaments Begin (Men’s, Women’s, Youth, High School)

·       10:00 a.m. – Select-A-Seat Ticketing Event at Snapdragon Stadium 

·       2:00 p.m. – Final Matches Begin

·       5:00 p.m. – Trophy Presentation for Winners
